Nearly all tools run inside your browser, so your file is read on your device and is not uploaded. A few converters need our server and say so clearly.

No account, no watermark

What happens to your files

Your files stay on your device for the great majority of tools. Merging, splitting, compressing, editing, signing, protecting, OCR and every conversion from PDF run in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. The file is read locally, processed in memory and handed back as a download, and we never receive it.

Four converters work differently: Word to PDF, Excel to PDF, PowerPoint to PDF and HTML to PDF need office software that cannot run in a browser. For those, the file is uploaded over HTTPS, processed temporarily in a private folder and automatically deleted as soon as the result is delivered, and also if the job fails or times out. Each tool page states which mode it uses.

The OCR tool downloads its recognition engine and language data once from a public CDN, which sees your IP address but not your documents. Analytics and ads only run if you accept them in the cookie settings, and never receive file names or contents.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free, and do I need an account?

You do not need an account and you are not asked to pay to use the tools today. There is no sign-up, no login and no watermark on your results. The site may show ads that help pay for hosting.

Are my files uploaded to your servers?

For almost all tools, no. They run in your browser and the file stays on your device. Only four converters, Word to PDF, Excel to PDF, PowerPoint to PDF and HTML to PDF, upload the file so it can be processed on our server.

Which tools use your server, and what happens to the file?

Word to PDF, Excel to PDF, PowerPoint to PDF and HTML to PDF. The file is sent over HTTPS, processed temporarily in a private folder and automatically deleted once the result is delivered, or if the job fails. We do not keep copies or review documents.

Are there limits on file size or pages?

Yes. The browser tools reject files above 200 MB and PDFs above 2,000 pages, and very large files can be slow because your device does the work. Server conversions accept files up to 50 MB.

Do the tools work on a phone or tablet?

Yes. The interface adapts to small screens, with tap-to-select and buttons for moving things, and Scan to PDF can capture pages with your camera. Heavy jobs such as OCR on long documents are faster on a computer.

Will my PDF get a watermark or lose quality?

We never add a watermark or branding. Tools that only rearrange pages copy them without re-rendering, so quality is unchanged. Tools that must change content, such as compression or conversion, say exactly what changes on their page.

Which languages does the site support?

The site is available in English, French, Spanish and Arabic, including right-to-left layout for Arabic. The OCR tool can recognize English, French, Spanish, Arabic, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Turkish and Russian.
